Tara Clerkin Trio – Silently
Bristol trio Tara Clerkin Trio — Tara Clerkin, Sunny Joe Paradisos, and Patrick Benjamin — return with “Silently”, the second single from their upcoming album Somewhere Good, due 5 June via World of Echo. We covered the lead single and album announcement in Somewhere Good (W11), their first new music since the widely acclaimed 2023 mini-album On The Turning Ground.
“Silently” runs seven minutes and sits in similar territory to the title track — modern classical and dreamy songwriting, the trio’s characteristic palette of careful studio work and understated arrangement. The hazy quality is deliberate rather than accidental, and the track eases outward rather than building to anything you’d call a climax. Seven minutes here feels earned rather than indulgent, which isn’t always the case with tracks in this register.
Somewhere Good is the trio’s first full-length album, following a debut album and two mini-LPs. Alongside the standard vinyl and CD editions, World of Echo is issuing a deluxe pressing with a bonus 7″ featuring two exclusive tracks, limited to 500 copies and available via Bandcamp and World of Echo only. A headline tour and festival dates across the UK and Europe are also announced alongside the single.
